United Mattress Machinery is owned by Michael Porter, Michael Porter Jr., and Sam Porter. Michael Porter was the founder and owner for 50 years of Porter International, the leader in the mattress machine industry. Michael Porter, Sr. is the current president and CEO of Sourcing Unlimited (dbd Jumpsource) which is the parent company of United Mattress Machinery. Previously, he served as CEO of Porter International for 30 years and developed over 23 patents for specialized machines. In 1997, he successfully sold Porter International to Leggett & Platt, Inc. Not only is Mr. Porter highly experienced in all aspects of the business, and he is also connected to the key players in the industry.
